Professional identity in physical education: a review of literature

چکیده
Teachers’ professional identity shapes teachers’ educational views, impacting their behaviour, action and decision making. This study was designed with the goal of locating, compiling analysing articles regarding in physical education context identifying elements that contribute to construction. We selected as search items Web Science, ERIC, SPORTDiscuss Scopus. To investigate previous decade research, we limited published between 2010 2020. work combines recent publications written Portuguese, English Spanish. The database yielded 27 relevant articles. themes present can be divided into two groups: those linked key actors influences on identity, related preservice teachers. following were discovered influence formation: relationships (established within acting context), negotiation, transformation, lifelong learning, peer perception class context. impact teaching practicum experience, prior experiences, a community practice body. Professional formation is an intricate process characterised by diverse mix personal, professional, environmental social representations interact real time.
